On 5 December Dmanisi Municipality will present the revived ancient Georgian (Svan) traditional wrestling and folk ensemble Shgarida’s concert (author of the project – Gurgen Gurchiani) to the Tbilisi audience.
• 11:00 Gurgen Gurchiani’s talk on his observations and considerations about ancient Svan cult-ritual songs, their revival and inclusion into folk ensemble Shgarida’s repertoire at the State Folklore Centre of Georgia (68, Aghmashenebeli Ave.);
• 14:00 presentation of the revived Svan traditional wrestling with the participation of the students of Dmanisi sport school (trainers Ioseb and Korneli Gerliani) in the Garden of Roses (73, Aghmashenebeli Ave.);
• 19:00 Concert of folk ensemble Shgarida (dir. Gurgen Gurchiani) in the Garden of Roses.
