Project for Regional Equipment

On 13 November, Mikheil Giorgadze – Georgian Minister of Culture and Monument Protection was in Telavi, and delivered musical instruments to music schools and Centers of Culture as part of the “Project for Regional Equipment”.

In Telavi the Minister was accompanied by Giorgi Donadze – Executive Director of the State Folklore Centre of Georgia, who familiarized the Minister and the locals with the Centre’s plan of activities in the region and his own vision about the development of Georgian folklore. Mikheil Giorgadze and Giorgi Donadze discussed in details the dates of opening Folklore Centre’s branches in Kakheti and their objectives. The branch and choir master’s school in Qvareli are already functioning. Minister Giorgadze touched upon the Centre’s efficient activities carried out in a short period of time and the plans to be realized by the Centre in near two years. In 2016 it is planned to open about 40 branches throughout the country.
