On 16 January a branch of the State Folklore centre and Choir Master’s School opened in Ozurgeti. The presentation was attended by Giorgi Donadze –Executive Director of the State Folklore Centre; Beglar Sioridze – Mayor of Ozurgeti; Jemal Chkuaseli – Director of ensemble Erisioni; Eter Tataraidze – a poetess, specialist of the Centre, local cultural and government figures.

The Ozurgeti Choir Master’s school will contribute to the revival and popularization of Georgian (Gurian) traditional song and chant, will seek for and care about folk examples, promote equal development of all branches of folklore.
