Kvemo Kartli regional selection round of the National Folklore Festival for was held at G. Lortkipanidze Rustavi Theatre on 27 November.
Among the participants were: church’ choirs and folk ensembles (20); folk poets (8); masters of fine and applied arts (46).

Selection rounds have already been held in Kakheti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Mtskheta- Mtianeti, Shida Kartli,  Guria and Achara; here all branches of folklore were diversely represented.

The State Folklore Centre holds the Festival with the support of the Georgian Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, Georgian Government and local city municipalities.
