On 4 December, Mikheil Giorgadze - Georgian Minister of Culture and Monument Protection was in Poti and delivered musical instruments to folk ensembles, music schools and Centers of Culture of the city.

The Minister was accompanied by Anzor Erkomaishvili – Chairman of the Executive Council of the State Folklore Centre and Giorgi Donadze – Executive Director of the State Folklore Centre, who familiarized local specialist and population with the Centre’s plan of activities in the region and their vision for the development of folklore, they also discussed the significance of opening the Centre’s branches and choir master’s schools. In future similar meetings will be organized in other regions of Georgia as well.
