On 16 September expedition with Giorgi Donadze (Executive Director of the State Folklore Centre), Anzor Erkomaishvili (President of the International Centre for Georgian Folk Song and Artistic Director of ensemble Rustavi), Ucha Dvalishvili (Head of Choreography Department of the Folklore Centre) and Nikoloz Gogashvili (a cameraman) as members went to the city of Bursa (Turkey).

The expedition aims to “collect archival materials via documenting  folk-ethnographic, instrumental and choreographic examples of the Georgians in Turkey”.

The expedition was realized thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection.

The expedition will return to Georgia on 22 September.
